Alfred T Blind

Five Mile Point – Alfred T. Blind, age 90, of Allouez Township, Michigan passed away on September 15, 2022 at the Omega House in Houghton, MI.  He was born on February 8, 1932 in Detroit, the son of Theophil and Christine Blind.  He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary; two sisters, Mary Catherine Steele and Margaret Blind and daughters Laura of Florida and Kristin (Mark) of Texas and a son Kevin (Rachel) of Orchard Lake, MI.  Also surviving are grandchildren William, Brooke, Ryan and Grant, many nieces and nephews.  Al graduated from Saint Anthony’s High School in Detroit in 1950.  He was passionate about cars and enjoyed a long career in the auto business working at Packard and later General Motors.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 19th at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Fr. Gracious Pulimoottil to officiate.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to Mass (9 am to 9:50 a.m.).  Interment will be in the Lake View Cemetery.  Ryan Funeral Home is serving the family.
