Calumet – Carol A. Gipp age 76, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Greentree of Hubbell.  She was born in Detroit, MI, a daughter of Ed and Mildred Raisanen.  She and her former spouse Ron Gipp raised their two sons, Scott and Chris and operated a taxi cab and wrecker business.  She later worked at Calumet Electronics until her retirement. Carol is preceded in death by her parents Ed and Mildred Raisanen, brother Gary Raisanen and partner John Karvola.  She is survived by her sons, Scott (Ruth Ann) and Chris (Kristin) and one sister Sandra Bonenfant, a sister-in-law Judy Raisanen, and grandchildren Clarity, Easton, and Saylor who were the light of her life.  They loved going there to stoke the fire to 100 degrees and eat her pink mints.  Also surviving are nieces and nephews Steve Raisanen, Amy Raisanen, Laurie Outinen, Dale Raisanen, Kristi Naas and Stuart Crewdson, and numerous cousins.  Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 4th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for open house and celebration of life.
