Darleen Rae Zander, 79, of Calumet passed away peacefully at the Omega House on December 13, 2024.  Darleen was an eternal optimist and had a way of finding good in any situation.  You could always find Darleen in the yard or with a project in the house, but rarely sitting idle.  Darleen was always welcoming and never short on conversation.  Darleen was preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert, and sisters Dorla and Dianne.  Darleen is survived by her sons Jim (Becky) of Calumet and Jon (Debbie) of Naples, FL; grandchildren Hope, Lauren, Marcus, Andrew, Mitchell, Samantha and Abigail; great-grandchildren Aleena, Brux, Avaia, Lawson and Dawson.  Ryan Funeral Home will be assisting in Darleen’s final wishes.  Services will not be held, but thoughts and prayers are appreciated.  The family thanks the Omega House and Baraga Memorial Hospice Services for Darleen’s care over the last several months.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Omega House, Houghton, MI.
