Esther I (Tomasik) Wendt

Lake Linden – Esther IngeBorg Wendt 77, of Lake Linden passed away on June 21, 2021 after a short battle with some various illnesses.  Esther was born on April 20, 1944 to Frank and Esther Tomasik in Detroit.  Esther’s mom passed away during childbirth and was adopted by her mother’s cousin Erick and his wife Ruth Lytikainen at 6 days of age.  Esther found the love of her life and married Kenneth Wendt in 1967, having celebrated 54 years of marriage this year and producing two sons, Al and Dave.  After Ken retired from Chrysler in 1998, they headed north to live year round.  Esther positively lit up a room when she came in with her love of laughter.  She was known for her love of Elvis music and solving the National Enquirer crosswords.  Esther was predeceased in death by both sets parents and her brother John Lytikainen (Connie).  She is survived by her husband Ken, sons Alvin (Kimberly), David (Marianne) and granddaughter Aubrey.  No services are scheduled, cremation has been arranged through Ryan Funeral Home.
