Louis R Ucman 87, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Mission Point of Hancock following a lenthy illness.  He was born in Calumet on May 13, 1937 a son of Louis and Rose (Krizmanich) Ucman.  He married Eleanor Lukima in 1957.  Louis worked as a miner for Calumet and Hecla Mining Company and later moved to Detroit and worked at a steel fabrication company.  The couple moved back to Calumet and ran the Wolverine Market and Louis worked for the State of Michigan Parks.  He is survived by his son Louis (Terry) of Calumet, daughter Rose (Ron) Winnie of Calumet, son Joseph of Kearsarge and son Scott (Sandra) of Columbus, Ohio.  Louis was also survived by seven grandchildren; Shylynn, Dawn, Shannon, Louis III, Noah, Desirae and Dakota and great-grandchildren Guyius, Nevaeh, Merick, Damien and Daniel.  Urn burial will be in the Ahmeek Cemetery.
