Mary Margaret (Caton) Bush

Mary Margaret Bush, lovingly nicknamed Bob'm by her grandchildren, age 80, passed away on January 30, 2021.  She was born on July 20, 1940 in Detroit to J. Douglas Canton and Helen Nesbit Caton.  Mary was a graduate of Mercy College, where she received her Bachaelors of Nursing Degree.  She was employed as a pediatric nurse at Beverly Hills Pediatrics and retired after over 25 years of service caring for countless families where she was often referred to as "the singing nurse" .  Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting, knitting adorable baby hats, and sewing; she especially enjoyed making special request birthday cakes for her grandchildren.  Bob'm spent many hours over the years attending soccer, swimming, basketball, baseball, and hockey events for her grandchildren.  She was their biggest cheerleader.  Mary and Terry cherished their time in the Upper Peninsula's Keweenaw and 33 years ago built a cabin where they made treasured memories with friends and family over the years.  Mary was known for being very social and made friends everywhere she went.

Beloved wife of Terry Bush for 58 years, married on September 1, 1962.  Loving mother of Terry (Mike) Nielsen, Tim (Catherine) Bush and Matt (Gretchen) Bush.  Proud grandmother of Kelsey (Kam) Leiter, Caroline Nielsen, Claire Nielsen, Joel Bush, Kyle Bush, and Gavin Bush.  Mary was looking forward to becoming a great-grandmother in April 2021.  Dear sister of Jim (Eileen) Caton, Pat (John) Bush and the late Doug (Mary Beth, still living) Caton.  She is survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday June 11, 2021 at the St. Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet with Rev. Fr. Gracious Pulimoottil to officate.  Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Eagle River, Michigan.
