Phyllis M (Kowalski) Stukel Obituary

Copper City – Phyllis M. (Kowalski) Stukel of Copper City passed away on Saturday, September 16th at the Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium.  She was born April 10, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan.  On August 1, 1953 she married Frederick Stukel, Sr ”Pudgy” who preceded her in death on September 22, 1993.  She is survived by her sister, Shirley Bracco of Calumet, her eight children Terry (Steve) LaBonte, Renee (John) Volkmann, Fred (Marcia) Stukel, Jim Stukel, Brian (Stania) Stukel, Ray “Sam” (Julie) Stukel, Mary (Mark) Kingstrom, and Jerald “Duffy”(Joyce) Stukel.  Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.  Private family funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20 at the Ryan Funeral Home.  Private graveside services will be held at the Ahmeek Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
