Sharon I. Smith passed away at her home in Copper Harbor the week of November 3, 2022.  She hosted her webcam/blog "A View from the Field" for several years with her webcam overloooking the east end of Copper Harbor and had followers from all across the country.  Sharon was from Detroit where she worked as a software technician. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Laurium, MI.  Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 19th at 11 a.m. at the Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Lundquist to officiate.  Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday morning.
