Calumet – Thomas Robert Harju, 67 of Calumet passed away on August 16th 2022.  He is preceded by his wife Donna A (Cane) Harju of Copper City, father Robert E. Harju of Copper City, and mother Mary J (Irwin) Harju of Phoenix, Arizona.  He is survived by brothers Joseph Harju of Minnesota and Frederick Harju of Arizona; sisters Bette Wolven of Saginaw and Susan (Michael) O’Brian of Arizona.  Also surviving are daughter Carleen Karvola (Shawn Aaron) of Calumet, son Dale Paavilainen of Gwinn, grandsons Andrew Mattson and Robert Aaron of Calumet, granddaughters Macy (Greg) Nelson of Mohawk and Kara Paavilainen of Hancock, great-grandsons Cole Gervais, Soren Weber and Nikolas Nelson; his most loyal and loving Labrador Retriever Lotso Trouble Harju of Calumet, and a very large family of numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces to which he cherished very much.  Funeral service will be held at the Ryan Funeral Home on Monday, August 22nd at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Ahmeek.
